Harris-Pruett Building

The Harris-Pruett Building was donated to the City of Harrisburg by Ruth Pruett Patton and Thomas Allen Patton in 1986 for use as a community room.
The Harris-Pruett Building has full kitchen facilities for use by the renters. Also, available are seven 6-foot tables, nine 8-foot tables and 92 folding chairs which are not to be removed from the building. Parking is available behind the building and to the west of the building.
It is available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis for non-profit activities. Please make reservations as soon as possible as the building books up quickly, especially for weekends.
Reservations are made through the City Clerk’s office located in City Hall at 110 East Locust. City Hall hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, except for recognized holidays. Call 618-253-7451 ext. 7 for available dates. However, reservations can only be made upon receipt of payment in the amount of $180.00, which includes a $50.00 security deposit. Checks should be made out to City of Harrisburg.
Keys to the building can be picked up prior to your rental date during City Hall office hours. Refund of the security deposit will be made upon return of the key if the building is left in a clean, undamaged condition.
